TED Talks are renowned for their inspiring and powerful presentations that spread ideas, thoughts, and opinions. Inspired by this format, we have introduced our special EMS TALKS session, for our European EMS congress which has quickly become one of our most popular events.
To be eligible to apply for an EMS Talk, you must be registered for the congress. Applications from individuals who are not registered will not be considered.

Invitation for you to inspire others
We invite participants to apply to give an EMS “TED-like” TALK, 10 speakers will be selected to share their insights with an open audience in a special and exciting session. The 10 chosen talks will be announced in the EMS2027 programme with title and name of each speaker.
Topics
You are free to choose your topic within the area of EMS and emergency patient care. Topics should be relevant to patient care, the well-being of our people, or to our communities. The goal is to engage and inspire the audience. Your talk could be based on a personal experience or observation, a groundbreaking idea, or any concept that could enhance EMS and emergency patient care in the future.

Guidance and Selection Criteria
The session will be chaired by two members of the faculty.
Time: Each speaker will have an absolute maximum of 7 minutes for their talk. The microphone will be turned off after 7 minutes. A clock will be visible for the speaker to follow the time left.
Presentation aids: Speakers may use a few simple slides or short videos to support their presentations, however the most important aid is your words.
Selection of the 10 EMS Talks and speakers is done by 5 judges based upon the following criteria: relevance to EMS, originality, passion, inspiration, engagement and potential impact. Diversity and incusivity will also be part of the selection of the 10 EMS Talks.
Please note:
All successful applicants will be required to provide a head shot for use on the website and social media. Applicants may also be contacted for additional social media requests (e.g. a short introductory video). All EMS Talks will be recorded and the videos will be published on YouTube at a later date.
